Performance Enhancement: When loading the invoices screen, we are now loading only those names that have either a bidder number or number attending > 0, or payments recorded in the software.

Automatic Item Sequencing: Renumbering a set of items so that the new starting item number is between the old starting number and the old ending number, and removing gaps in the numbering can cause unexpected results.

Guests Without Bid Number Report: Deleting a guest's ticket purchase and leaving their number attending > 0 may cause a runtime error 5.

Create New Project: Creating a new project in a new folder was not correctly creating the custom spelling dictionary for the project.  This would cause an error if you tried to backup the project.  Once you close and reopen the project, there is no problem.

Payment Screen: Voiding a reservation from this screen did not completely void the reservation.

Main Auction Screen:  Added right click ability to View Payments for names, and to Print Gift Certificates for items.  Right click on a name to Print Name Details, Print Donation Receipt, or Print Statement will now fill the selection box with the complete name so that (without changes) only the selected name will be printed.

Items and Purchasers Report:  Checkbox for printing information for only items without bids now works.

Items and Pricing Report:  Tax wasn't showing correctly for pledge/multi-buyer items.  Tax totals were correct.

Export/Import: Exporting a field whose first character is a quotation mark (") will put quotation marks around the entire field.  Importing a field that starts with a quotation mark assumes that there will be a quotation mark at the end of the field.

Cosmetic Changes:

Payment Screen:  Payment information area automatically scrolls so last entry is visible.

Table Assignments: Taking a guest out of a table was not putting them back on the list of names available for seating.

Category Lists:  Lists of categories on all screens are not sorted alphabetically.

Main Auction Screen:  When names or items are added to the project, the name or item window will be displayed in the visible window when the item is saved.

Export:  Export to Excel™ spreadsheet or Word™ table now available.

Windows XP & Windows 2000 limited users may now open/save projects in the Auction! folder, register the software and have recently used files appropriately recorded in the registry.

Minor Changes and Enhancements, and Bug Fixes:

Baskets:  Changing a basket between live and silent now clears the item number.  After switching Item Type, Next Item # now retrieves the item number from correct Item Type.  Changing an item from regular to basket now clears Item Receipt Status, certificate, pledge flag, and anonymous.

Spelling additions are now retained when you display the spelling screen.

Import:  Duplicate Bid numbers now added to error log, rather than in one-at-a-time messages.

Conversion of V2 projects to V3 now retains first name category name; this was lost when Payment on File was added in 2.99.7240.

State box on Settings, Event Preferences now works correctly; was not writeable after move to Sales Tax screen.

Attempt to import more than 32767 rows or columns from Excel now just ends rather than causing a runtime error.

Catalog spacing now correct for items with no donor and no value printed for item.

Print Preview horizontal scrollbar no longer hidden behind taskbar when zooming in.

Transfer Project:  Retain Bid Numbers may now be selected without transferring donors.  Cleaned up selection logic on Transfer.

View, Total Purchases now includes Basket purchase price.

Reports, Donor Names, Include Items Donated now shows Items without Donors at the end of report.  This assures that other report totals match.

Reports, Bidder Names, Sort by Amt, Show Items purchased did not clear totals between runs.  Fixed.  Include Purchases & Payments now includes ticket purchases & payments for them for Guests without Bid Numbers also.

Cosmetic Changes:

When transferring data to a new project, name categories are now correctly displayed immediately.

Activities, Assign Bid Numbers wording clarification and improvement.

Right-click Print Bid Sheets on Cash Item or Basket Component screen now displays message to user, rather than simply ignoring the request.

Auctionpay capability now fully implemented.

Installation now checks for unsafe versions of V2 & V1.  Check runs first time you open this version for update installations, or upon registration for new installations.  Completion is critical due to potential for dataset damage; if you cancel it will run again until completed successfully.

You may now specify a starting bid number on Activities, Assign Bidder Numbers. It will work its way around existing bid numbers, warns if more than 9999 invitees, and stops at 9999 with a warning to the user if there are more invitees to assign.

Prior releases (early) allowed users to incorrectly void ticket types that had been used.  If this has occurred, the software will now simply show the ticket as voided on the reservation, and run-time error will not occur.
