Updating your Auction! installation is safe, and will not harm your data. Auction Systems provides free updates for your purchased software edition for the life of the product.
Whether you purchased your software last week, or several years ago, you are assured the highest quality code release for your installations, at no charge.
Check your current release: start Auction! and click Help, About Auction! The screen indicates the release number at the upper right, currently 3.1.9204. If you don't have this release, please follow the instructions to update.
1. Click Download Current V3 Software on the right, and choose the SAVE option.
2. Select a location on your computer, such as Desktop, and SAVE the file. Please note the specific location.
3. Be sure you are working in an "Admin" or "Computer Administrator" account while performing the installation.
4. Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation. On some computers with enhanced security, you may need to right-click the file and select "Run as Administrator."
5. Follow the instructions. Do not close the dark background command prompt window; it will start the software installation and then the user guide installation. Then it will close automatically.
6. If you have already registered Auction! on this computer, you will not need to repeat registration. If you have not registered, start Auction! and then click Help, Register Auction! to enter the registration information.
7. After installation, start Auction! and click Help, About Auction! The screen indicates the release number at the upper right, currently 3.1.9204, and the screen also indicates the purchased edition. You're all set!
