What is Spire Event Processing?

Spire Event Processing is an innovative solution designed to expedite processing bank cards at your auction event. 

How does Spire Event Processing
work with Auction! ? 

Your guests swipe their credit cards at check in.  Bid numbers of guests who swiped their credit cards on arrival are downloaded to a plain, CSV file, and Synced with Auction!. These bidders are marked for Quick Checkout.

At the end of your event guests with Quick Checkout invoices pick up their purchased items and go on their way. Additional guests can also swipe credit cards at the cashier using the same Spire card readers.  Final balance amounts are uploaded to the Spire Web Portal from Auction!, typically one to two days after your event.

Once transactions are uploaded and processed, Spire directly deposits proceeds into your organization’s bank account.  Payment records are downloaded from the portal, and automatically recorded in Auction!, reconciling balances.  It’s simple and easy!

When do I need to decide?

Submit the Spire Payment Solutions Client Agreement electronically from Auction Systems' website no later than three-six weeks prior to your event.

Is Spire easy to use?

Yes!  Spire has developed an innovative solution using netbooks & card readers in conjunction with a web portal, and they provide these for your event.  The netbooks communicate with Spire's web portal via encrypted wi-fi or 3G cell phone signal.  Your credit cards are never stored locally.

Use a standard USB flash drive to move data to Auction! at your event, and log into the portal in a web browser for post-event processing.  No special hardware or drivers are needed for Auction!

What is the cost for the sync linkage?

$75 one-time upgrade fee for Auction! V3 enables syncing with the Spire system.

Are there any additional fees?

Spire Payment Solutions charges fees to set up your merchant account, and associated with usage of the credit card terminals and actual processing of credit cards.
